Money transfer from India to Malaysia, Malaysia to India Wire transfer Home
Many small companies from UK purchase craft and textile items from India. Many times the initial order value is low, since the buyer is checking the quality of the product first. Since the British ruled India for many years, most large Indian banks accept payments in Pound Sterling

Hi I have purchased craft items from a company in India, for payment they
require T/T or wire
transfer, could you please offer advice on how to make this transaction ? can I
do it via my own
bank - Barclays, their bank is called Canara and has a branch in London
regards
Mandy
the value of the order is $366 including shipping,
payment is in advance,
Reply: sending a UK pound sterling draft will be most economical for small amounts. have an account with Canara Bank and was receiving payment in foreign currency. Their charges are quite low.
For online transfer, you will have to visit your bank branch for details and filling the transfer form. Payments are sent using electronic bank to bank transfer. Barclays bank has an international payment service, which offers 2 options
1. Standard International Payments - for non urgent payments - fees 20 Pound Sterling
2 Standard
International Payments - for urgent payments - fees 35 Pound Sterling
You also have an option to pay the overseas delivery charges.
The number of days before the amount is credited to the beneficiary's bank account depend on the location and could take up to 8 days, when the recipient is in India
International money transfer through Barclays bank
